Panel discussion: Landscape Imaginaries between Aesthetics and Ecology

20 September University of Hamburg Institute for Geography

On September 20th, University of Hamburg, Institute for Geography, will host a Panel Discussion on  "Landscape Imaginaries between Aesthetics and Ecology" with Marco Brodde (Danish Wadden Sea National Park) and Martin Stock (Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park).

Both participants are passionate Wadden Sea conservationists (but with different ideas on how to do this). In addition both produce highly expressive images of the Wadden Sea landscape through their landscape painting (Marco) and photography (Martin). The Panel Discussion will be moderated by my colleague here at the Institute for Geography, Martin Döring. Please do circulate this invitation among your colleagues / networks.

If you would like to attend, please register in advance (by 10.09.2018, if possible) via email to cormac.walsh(at)uni-hamburg.de

Note the panel discussion forms part of the annual workshop of the German branch of the Landscape Research Group (Arbeitskreis Landschaftsforschung). The full workshop programme and registration form is available here: http://www.landschaftsforschung.de/veranstaltungen.html. The workshop will take place mostly in German, the panel discussion in English.
