Registration for ISISA2018

The 16th ISISA conference will take place from 10 till 14 June in Leeuwarden and on the Frisian Island Terschelling, the Netherlands. See programme.

Be aware: Arrival June 10 in Leeuwarden, departure June 15 from Terschelling.

Registration is closed. You can sign up for the waiting list by sending an email to isisa2018(at)Waddenacademie.nl.

Below you will find all information about the fee, payment, extra options and changes and Cancellation policy.

Fee

•    Standard fee € 300,-  (after 1 March standard fee will be €350,-)
•    Reduced fee € 200,-  (For students and PhD researchers under 30) (after 1 March €250,-)
•    Accompanying Partner € 150,- (this fee is for those partners who accompany a participant to the conference, they will not be allowed to follow the complete programme).

•    Transport Leeuwarden – Harlingen –Terschelling

Fees do not include: Hotel accommodation , transport to Leeuwarden and return ferry ticket from Terschelling to Harlingen, you have to book your return ticket online at the ferry company and preferable do this at the same time as your registration, to be sure to have a seat on the day you wish.

Extra options

•    June 8-10 Pre-conference 2-day sailing trip with the historic vessel Willem Jacob from Amsterdam to Leeuwarden via the Wadden Sea, including dinner, overnight stay  at the ship (in shared rooms), breakfast and lunch  (€275 p.p).
•    Oerol performance, after breakfast June 15, € 20,- p.p.
•    Extending your stay until June 17 (only shared rooms), we will contact you about the options.

Payment

After completing the registration you can pay by Pay Pall, credit card or Ideal. Your booking is only valid after completing the payment. You will receive a confirmation of your registration by e-mail.
• Approximately two weeks prior to the conference, participants will receive an e-mail with  the latest information about the conference, travel information and in which hotel you will stay.
• At the start on June 10, participants receive a name badge and the programme at the registration desk in the Blokhuispoort in Leeuwarden.

Changes and Cancelation Policy

Only written changes or cancellations are possible. A change or cancellation will be communicated in writing to the organization in time (which means before the dates below) by mail to: ISISA2018(at)waddenacademie.nl

Refunds only take place when a participant cannot transfer his participation to another person and has canceled it in time:

  • Applications that are canceled before March 1 2018 will be refunded in full after deduction of € 50 administration costs;
  • Cancellations between March 1 and May 9 2018 will be refunded for 60 %;
  • Cancellations after May 10 2018 will not be refunded.

The organisation is not responsible for any costs incurred by participants in any of these cases.

VISA Application and Official Acceptance Letter

We strongly advise participants requiring a visa and/or other travel documentation to enter The Netherlands, to make their application in their home countries at least two months before the intended date of travel. If an official invitation letter for VISA application and an acceptance letter for the Conference, is required by the institution of the participant, it can be requested by sending an e-mail request to ISISA(at)waddenacademie.nl.

Force Majeure

Participants shall not be entitled to any compensation should political or economic circumstances or a case of force majeure (such as natural catastrophes, wars, revolutions, acts of terrorism, etc.) prevent the 16th Islands of the World Conference 2018 from being held or limit its size or modify its nature.
In the unlikely event of congress cancellation by the organisers, the cenference registration payments will be refunded in full.
The organisers do not accept any liability for the cost of any pre-booked travel tickets or accommodation. Tip: book a travel- and cancelation insurance.
