The SWIMWAY 2024 conference willt take place from April 17th-19th 2024 in Groningen, The Netherlands

Be aware: the free-flowing-rivers conference Free Flow 24 will be held earlier the same week also in Groningen (see https://freeflowconference.eu/ for details and registration). We strongly encourage you to register for both conferences! * This will facilitate the exchange between the two communities, expand the network and provide the opportunity to learn from each other.
*Their topical relatedness notwithstanding, the two conferences are organized separately, so please register separately for each one.

Fee

The fee for the Swimway Conference 2024 is 50 Euro (this covers the full conference programme, reception, poster session, catering, excursions (17th of April) and conference dinner (not optional!). The fee does not include: Hotel accommodation, transport to and in Groningen.

Excursions

We offer five excursions to locations in the north of the Netherlands. Excursions are a joint activity with the Free Flowing River Conference and can be booked as part of one or other conference. Detailed itineraries for each excursion are availableon the page Social events.

Payment

After completing the registration you receive a payment link. Your booking is only valid after completing the payment. You will receive a confirmation of your registration by e-mail.

Terms and conditions

Changes and Cancelation Policy
Only written changes or cancellations are possible. A change or cancellation will be communicated in writing to the organisation in time (which means before the dates below) by mail to: swimcon24@waddenacademie.nl
Refunds only take place when a participant can not transfer his participation to another person and has canceled it in time:

• Cancellations before March 1 2024, registration payment will be fully refunded
• Cancellations after 17 March 2024 registration payment will not be refunded.

The organisation is not responsible for any costs incurred by participants in any of these cases.

VISA Application and Official Acceptance Letter

We strongly advise participants requiring a visa and/or other travel documentation to enter The Netherlands, to make their application in their home countries at least two months before the intended date of travel. If an official invitation letter for VISA application and an acceptance letter for the Conference, is required by the institution of the participant, it can be requested by sending an e-mail request to swimcon24@waddenacademie.nl.

Force Majeure

Participants shall not be entitled to any compensation should political or economic circumstances or a case of force majeure (such as natural catastrophes, wars, revolutions, acts of terrorism, etc.) prevent the Saline Futures Conference from being held or limit its size or modify its nature.
In the unlikely event of congress cancellation by the organisers, the congress registration payments will be refunded in full.
The organisers do not accept any liability for the cost of any pre-booked travel tickets or accommodation. Tip: book a travel- and cancelation insurance.
