Pavel Kabat will become the next Secretary-General of HFSPO
The Human Frontier Science Program is a program of funding for frontier research in the life sciences. It is implemented by the International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO) with its office in Strasbourg.
Pavel Kabat was director/chairman of the board of the Wadden Academy from 2008 to 2012. From 2012-2018, he was director of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). Currently, Kabat is Chief Scientist and Research Director of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), an intergovernmental organization with 191 Member States and Territories. He is also professor of Earth System Science at Wageningen University. Since September 2015, Pavel Kabat has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the Wadden Academy.
