Trilateral Swimway Conference 2024

Applying scientific evidence to manage human impacts on fish life cycles

Within the Trilateral Wadden Sea Cooperation (TWSC), the second Swimway 2024 conference was held from 17 -19 April 2024 in Groningen, the Netherlands. For the Waddenacademie this was the 32nd Waddenacademie Symposium.

Symposium Waddenland - Outstanding

On the History, Landscape and Cultural Heritage of the Wadden Sea Region
The 17th Symposium of the Waddenacademie was organised from 1-3 december 2016 in Husum, Germany. Co-organisers: The Nordfriisk Instituut (Bredstedt) and the Fisheries and Maritime Museum/Centre for Maritime and Business History (Esbjerg). Read more.

Symposium 'Cumulative Effects in Marine Ecosystems'

The 16th symposium of the Waddenacademie was organised together with the NIOZ Wadden Sea Research Centre and took place On 30 June and 1 July 2016 on Texel. Read more

 

Symposium Towards a sustainable Ems-Dollard estuary

The 14th symposium of the Waddenacademie: Towards a sustainable Ems-Dollard estuary was organised in co-operation with Groningen Sea Ports, Programma naar een Rijke Waddenzee, Provincie Groningen and Rijkswaterstaat on June 25 & 26 in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. Read more

Symposium Wadden Sea research

10 and 11 December 2014 the 13th Symposium of the Waddenacademie took place in Grand Hotel Post-Plaza in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. The symposium was organised with the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO; the Dutch research council). Read more

Symposium 'Sense of Place'

The 12th symposium  of the Wadden Academy took place June 11 and 12, 2014 at Terschelling in cooperation with the Department of Cultural Geography of the University of Groningen, the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology of the Leiden University, the Oerol theatre festival and the Leeuwarden 2018 foundation. 13th International Scientific Wadden Sea Symposium

The 13th International Scientific Wadden Sea Symposium (ISWSS) entitled 'An integrated approach to emerging challenges in a World Heritage site'  took place from 21 - 23 November 2012, WTC Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. Read more.

The fifth symposium of the Waddenacademie 'Towards a trilateral research agenda' took place  8,9 and 10 december 2010 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands and was organised with partners form Denmark and Germany. Read more.
